1. CBSM Nominations.
Nominate yourself or a colleague for section office! The Nominations Committee is seeking candidates to run for the following offices. All except the Chair have 3-year terms; the Chair serves a 1-year term, though there are duties in the first year as Chair-Elect and in the last year as Past Chair. I’ve briefly summarized the duties of each committee.
Chair-Elect (serves as Chair in second year and Past Chair in third year).
Council (the policy-making body for the section).
The chairs and council also serve on awards committees for each of their three years.
Mentoring Committee (coordinates the mentoring program, soliciting and matching mentors and mentees).
Workshop Committee (develops plans for section workshops).
Nominations Committee (develops the slate of nominees for section offices).
Publications Committee (responsible for working with section reports and publications, including working with the editors of the newsletter and the website).
Self-nominations are welcome. Note that candidates must be section members and may run for only one committee. If you are interested in more than one committee, please let us know and you will be considered for the committee with greater need.
Please send nominations to nwhittie@smith.edu.
