The Department of Sociology at Rutgers University-New Brunswick seeks to hire a tenure track assistant professor whose work addresses global economic inequalities and transnational patterns of labor and economic organization. The position entails teaching undergraduate and graduate level Sociology classes and a significant scholarly research program. We will consider innovative work including the impact of global markets, the transnational circulation of persons in relation to global labor markets and migration, and/or the organization and political economy of global organizations that impact upon inequality. Theoretical and methodological orientations are open. A PhD in Sociology or a related field is required by start date. The position will begin Fall 2015 pending budgetary approval.
